About Us
The journey we have come so far will begin in the year 2021. It's random. Instead of traditionally picking tea leaves and giving them to a factory, if we go beyond that and add value to it, I was impressed that the Sri Lankan tea brand can be taken to a higher level through one of the photo frames I saw on the Facebook page.
The Galle Kalutara Estate Owners Association, which has been identified, should be respectfully reminded here. At the same time, I received a wealth of knowledge from the Ministry of Industry and the Tea Research Institute about hand-made tea at the National Institute of Plantation. No matter how much training is received, many problems are encountered in its implementation.
The first problem I faced was the lack of a proper dryer to dry. I did various experiments for that. The photo shows a dryer that I designed. It also failed. In the end, as a result of hard work, now I have three dryers that I improved, imported from Australia. Also, how to produce quality tea correctly is another problem I faced. The experiments are countless. Immeasurably. There are many cases of feeling helpless when the end result fails after making many commitments. It is impossible to say how many tea leaves are discarded. The number of sleepless nights for this is uncountable. Finally, as a result of my own research, I discovered how long and at what temperature to dry and how to get the right product with the right quality.
Now I am very happy. Because I am able to take the tea leaves from my own tea plantations with my own hands in my own factory in the shapes finished by my own hands to the world of the Sri Lankan tea brand, I tell you with great pride and subtle pride. Now there are four employees under me. There are several institutions that have helped in this journey. Between the Ministry of Industry and the Tea Research Institute, here are some characters to be mentioned. The Divisional Secretary of Agalawatta should be remembered in advance. Also, the dedication of theVidatha Technical officer and its staff and the development officer of the Ministry of Enterprise Developmentshould be appreciated.
